The Company

Safari Hotels in Windhoek comprises of two hotels. The Safari Court Hotel & Conference Centre is a 4 star hotel offering 215 luxuriously appointed bedrooms and suites. It has a variety of facilities of which the conference centre is one of their most important offerings which regularly hosts large internationally attended conferences. There are restaurants, bars and a coffee shop where customers are shared between the two hotels. They also have a gym and spa available to guests.
The Hotel Safari is one of the best known hotels in Namibia. It is a 3 star hotel that caters for holiday makers, families, business people and conference delegates alike.

The Challenge

Safari Hotels needed a new website that is mobile friendly that portrays a sophisticated look and feel. The main challenge was to find a way to promote the two hotels effectively as separate entities. We chose to place both hotels on the homepage and link to separate landing pages per hotel.
The site was fuly redesigned and developed. We performed mobile speed optimizations and designed the site responsively to ensure that it would display properly and load quickly on all devices. We also provided content strategy for the new site and both of the locations’ landing pages.
Call to action buttons were placed strategically around the site. These CTA’s display as “Book Now” buttons if the accommodation is linked to a booking system (i.e. Nightsbridge), but if no link is set up then the button works as a link to an enquiry form which visitors can easily fill out and send through to the property in which they wish to stay.
The entire site was built using our LSX theme and makes use of a range of specially designed plugins for the tourism industry which serve to classify all the content on the site in the most sensible way for an establishment such as Safari Hotels.
Content is split hierarchically between the “top level” of accommodations (the buildings themselves which house the separate rooms and spaces in which to stay) and the spaces that the guests stay in and pay for (whether it’s a room or a tent or a villa). Plugins also manage content related to the rates of individual properties and accommodations, as well as restaurants and facilities available on the premises, showing information like opening and closing times, dress code, menu items and more.

The Solution

LightSpeed built a website that showcased the Safari Hotels full offering in an easy to navigate manner. We added call to action booking buttons on appropriate pages that aim to increase inquiries. The rooms types per hotel are showcased on the hotel landing page, customers can click through and view further details per room type like for example the rates, photos and available services.
